“Boil The Ocean”

I only heard this once on a conference call. I actually like it but I’m still going to poke fun at it.

We’re not trying to “boil the ocean” is how it was used. It means to not waste time or to not make things unnecessarily difficult.

After I heard it, no one else knew what it meant either. We spent some time on Google and finally figured it out.

Seems like we wasted quite a bit of time to determine that this fine jargonist didn’t want us to waste time.
