”Resting and Vesting”
Much has been made in the last few years about employee engagement. Companies want to know if their employees are truly committed to and challenged by their jobs. It’s a nice attempt to make a lower level employee feel that their opinion counts. Few are gullible enough to see this as anything more than a task for some powerless middle manager to complete, to “check a box” if you will.
“ Resting and Vesting” is a phrase used to explain employees that do the absolute minimum to maintain their employment and have their stock awards “vest” or become theirs.
