The financial markets crash when investors are scared out of the market. People become scared of things that they don’t understand and can’t comprehend. Investors don’t like negative surprises, whether geopolitical, financial or criminal . That is why the rhetoric between President Trump and North Korea is so frightening. Consider….
On June 25, 1950, the Korean War began when North Korea crossed the 38th parallel and attacked South Korea. The territories had been split after World War II. The United States intervened on behalf of South Korea. By the winter, the Chinese had entered the war to defend North Korea. The Chinese outnumbered the first US troops by four to one, and some say eight to one. The result was that the US forces were annihalted and had to withdraw. Oh, and the North Koreans somehow had superior tanks and artillery. Who supplied them? RUSSIA. That’s an outline of the Korean War in a few sentences.
Here are some points to consider:
– Do you really think the Russians want to be our “buddies”?
– Do you think the Chinese want us on the border of their country?
– Do you think the exact same thing that happened in 1950 won’t happen again?
– Do you think that anyone can truly “gain” from such a conflict?
