Truman, Trump, North Korea and Russia

On June 25, 1950, the Korean War began when elite North Korean troops crossed the border into South Korea with the intention of conquering the entire South.

President Truman and his top advisors debated the aggressors intentions. Was this just an offensive ordered up by the Russians? Were the North Koreans nothing but Moscow’s pawns?

i suspect that President Trump and his advisors are asking the same questions. The Korean War began as a massacre for the United States.  Remember that as the debate about pre-emptive  strikes on North Korea becomes more and more serious.
